Snorkelling excursion to Tavolara and Molara

adults and children

Attractive half-day snorkelling excursion within the Tavolara Marine Protected Area and Punta Coda Cavallo. During the excursion, depending on weather conditions, it will be possible to visit the wreck of the ship Chrisso at Porto San Paolo, the flat rocks of Cala Ghilgolu and to swim and snorkel at the natural pools of the island of Molara.

During the excursion, you can admire the sheer cliff face of Tavolara Island and then go ashore where you can visit the beach and a tongue of white sand bathed by the sea on both sides.

The excursion generally includes a stop on the island. Among the places of interest to see are Cala Tramontana, Punta Spalmatore and the small cemetery of the Kings of Tavolara to visit on foot, which is undoubtedly impressive.

Is it all true?

You can see so many fish that you wonder: am I in a Pixar film? No, you are just snorkelling near the beautiful reefs of Tavolara and Molara.

Dolphin sighting Olbia and Golfo Aranci

Olbia departure

start Golfo Aranci

Close to Olbia, just a few minutes' drive northwards, is the delightful fishing village of Golfo Aranci.

The waters in front of the gulf are populated by a permanent colony of dolphins living in absolute freedom.

Many dolphin watching tours depart daily from Olbia and Golfo Aranci.

An excursion suitable for everyone lasting about 2 hours, ideal for families and children.

The tour takes place on board a dinghy or boat. The dolphin sighting tour is done by DST Sardegna - Diving & Snorkeling Team which is an excursion centre and a PADI Dive Resort at Golfo Aranci Starting from the village Sos Aranzos with a 5-minute boat ride you reach the island of Figarolo located between the headland of Capo Figari and Golfo Aranci.

For more than 10 years, a pod of bottlenose dolphins has been resident in the waters between Capo Figari and Golfo Aranci. Near the island of Figarolo there is a fish farm, where, inside huge cages, sea bass and sea bream are bred in large quantities. The presence of these fish attracts dolphins in search of food. By sailing close to the island and the plant, the chances of spotting dolphins are very high. Guides on board will explain the characteristics and habits of these specimens.
