Church of San Paolo Apostolo Olbia
The church of San Paolo, built on the highest point of Olbia, is the city monument, the icon of Olbia dating back to the mid-18th century. The church consists of a rectangular body and three chapels give the building the shape of a cross. The square-shaped bell tower is built entirely of granite and the church dome is covered in polychrome majolica.
Inside, the high altar is entirely made of marble with a wooden pulpit in Venetian style. The walls are frescoed with paintings representing the Stations of the Cross. The church also houses two wooden statues dedicated to the Sacred Heart and St Francis.
